betjee — Rise of Apollo: Start your journey with the Greek sun god slot
Rise of Apollo by PG Soft is a mythology-themed video slot featuring golden light, divine power, and bonus features. Find out below how the game works at betjee, how to place bets, and what features are available.
From Greek mythology to the slot screen
Rise of Apollo is a full mythology-themed video slot from PG Soft, bringing the world of Apollo, the Greek god of the sun, to life in its gameplay. The background features golden temples, rays of light, and divine symbols — the overall visual design creates a distinct atmosphere.
The game has 5 reels and 3 rows, with wins counted across 243 ways to win — meaning instead of fixed paylines, matching symbols landing in any position from left to right counts as a win. Symbols include Apollo's shield, a golden lyre, a bow and arrow, and a white bird. The smooth animation that PG Soft uses across their games is clearly present here too.
This game can be found in betjee's slots section, which features hundreds of slots from PG Soft and many other developers.
How a spin works
Before starting the game, you first need to set your bet size. In Rise of Apollo, the bet amount can be adjusted from the panel at the bottom of the screen. Once the bet is set, pressing the "Spin" button starts the reels, and when they stop, three or more matching symbols landing from left to right triggers a win.
Apollo himself serves as the Wild symbol in this game, substituting for other symbols to increase wins. When enough Scatter symbols (typically the sun disc) appear, the Free Spins bonus round activates. During the bonus round, additional multipliers and special expanding Wilds can appear, creating bigger win opportunities compared to the base game.
This Apollo-themed slot has a special "Blazing Reels" mechanic — under certain conditions, an entire reel can turn Wild, which is a major step toward the maximum win. The game's top multiplier can reach a significant multiple of the base bet.
Budget, session length, and volatility — what suits whom
Budget and Bet Range
Rise of Apollo offers a fairly flexible bet range. It suits players who prefer to play for longer with smaller bets — you can keep bets low per spin and wait for the bonus round.

Session Length
This game works well for medium-length sessions. It does not end too quickly, but it is not designed for hours of non-stop play either. Most of the game's features can be experienced in a 30 to 60 minute session.

What is volatility?
Volatility refers to the balance between how often wins occur and how large they are. Rise of Apollo is a medium-to-high volatility game — smaller wins come less frequently, but when they do, they tend to be larger. This suits patient players.

Practical tips — know before you start
- Start with demo: betjee has a demo mode for Rise of Apollo where you can understand the game mechanics without using real money. New players are advised to try the demo first.
- Set a session budget: Decide how much you are willing to spend before each session. When that budget runs out, end the session — it may feel easy to add more mid-way, but that is not the right approach.
- Follow a stop-limit: Set a win target for yourself. If your winnings reach that target, stop there — continuing in hopes of winning more often leads to losses.
- Keep your bet size consistent: Do not try to recover a big loss by doubling your bet. Continue playing at your set bet size instead.
- Follow responsible gaming rules: betjee's responsible gaming page has information on setting limits and player protection — take a moment to read it.
Myths and misconceptions about slots
Many players hold beliefs about slots that are simply not accurate. Below are some common misconceptions and their real explanations.
"I haven't won in a long time, so a win must be coming"
Every spin is completely independent and random (controlled by RNG). What happened on the previous spin has no effect on the next one. A slot never becomes "due" for a win.
"If I double my bet after a loss, I'll recover it"
Increasing your bet to recover losses is called "chasing losses" — it is one of the most harmful habits you can have. It can cause losses to grow rapidly.
"You win more on a new account"
Whether an account is new or old has no connection to slot results. Every spin's outcome is determined by RNG, not by the age of the account.
RNG means every spin is genuinely random
The Random Number Generator produces billions of numbers every moment. The number present at the exact moment you press the spin button determines the result.
Setting a budget is the most effective approach
There is no "secret trick" or magic bet pattern that guarantees a win. Playing within a set budget and stopping at the right time is the most sensible approach.
Triggering a bonus round is a matter of chance
Free Spins trigger when Scatters appear, but when those Scatters land is entirely random. Practicing in demo gives you a feel for the game's features, but there is no technique for triggering them.
Where Rise of Apollo stands out from other slots
betjee's slot collection includes many types of games — some classic 3-reel, some Megaways engine, some fishing-themed, and some mythology-themed. What sets Rise of Apollo apart is its "Blazing Reels" mechanic, where an entire reel can turn fully Wild — something rarely seen in standard 5-reel slots.
Megaways slots (such as Bonanza Megaways or Extra Chilli Megaways) feature a different number of symbols per spin and create thousands of winning paths — a different experience from Rise of Apollo. Fishing games (such as betjee's Gold Toad Fishing) offer a completely different style of gameplay — shooting directly to earn points. If you enjoy mythology fantasy, Rise of Apollo offers the best experience for that.
betjee's full slots section brings together games from PG Soft, Pragmatic Play, JILI, and many other developers in one place.
